WORKING GOD’S WORK

WORKING GOD’S WORK

So we built the wall. And all the wall was joined together to half its height, for the people had a mind to work. —Nehemiah 4:6

So the wall was finished on the twenty-fifth day of the month Elul, in fifty-two days. And when all our enemies heard of it, all the nations around us were afraid and fell greatly in their own esteem, for they perceived that this work had been accomplished with the help of our God. —Nehemiah 6:15-16

When God is in the work and people have “a mind to work” His work then great things can be accomplished.  As I have read that this wall may have been 1.7 miles long around Jerusalem.  That is quite an accomplishment to have built this wall in 52 days!

When the enemies of the Israelites heard how this wall was built so quickly they were afraid and lost their self-confidence.  They understood that this work could only have been accomplished with the help of their God.

What work am I or are you involved in that people take notice that it is God at work or the work could not be accomplished?  Where are people seeing God at work and that you or I are working along with Him to accomplish what He desires?  What is the work God desires to do through you?  Are you available to do the work He wants of you?  Do you have a mind to do His work and to work His work?  Oh, Dear Father, may it be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6VokFYLIew4
