KNOWING REST, SALVATION, HOPE AND HONOR!
KNOWING REST, SALVATION, HOPE AND HONOR!
The Lord, who stretches out the heavens, who lays the foundation of the earth, and who forms the human spirit within a person… —Zechariah 12:1
Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken… Yes, my soul, find rest in God;
my hope comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge. Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge. ——Psalm 62:1-2, 5-8
The One I find rest in, the One who is my salvation is the same One “who stretches out the heavens, who lays the foundation of the earth, and who forms the human spirit within a person.” He will never be shaken and so I will never be shaken. I am safe in Him, my fortress and the rock on which I stand. My hope comes from Him and without Him I have no hope. Salvation is dependent on Him and any honor I receive comes from Him. Why would I not trust Him at all times? I will pour out my heart to Him! He is the only One that can truly be fully trusted at all times! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zryx3HbNYngg
Where are you trying to fine salvation, rest, hope and honor? This world looks in all the wrong places. People look to other relationships seeking to find peace or they look to money, fame, power… All these things wane, but salvation, rest, hope and honor only comes through knowing and living for our Lord God Almighty. It is He who has put the “human spirit within a person” and He did that so we would be in relationship with Him. Without Him a person is dead even while they live (Ephesians 2:1-3) and are deserving of His wrath and will experience it if they do not call on His Name (Matthew 25:46; Romans 10:13).
Dear Father I am so grateful to have the rest, salvation, hope and honor that comes from knowing Jesus. Out of gratitude may I seek to be faithful to Your will for my life. May this be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus. So be it!
