BLESSED BY CONSIDERING/REMEMBERING AND MINISTERING TO THE POOR!

 Blessed is the one who considers the poor! —Psalm 41:1

 All they asked was that we should continue to remember the poor, the very thing I had been eager to do all along. —Galatians 2:10

             Really there should be no needs unmet in a local assembly of believers— “They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need” (Acts 2:45). “Joseph, a Levite from Cyprus, whom the apostles called Barnabas (which means “son of encouragement”), sold a field he owned and brought the money and put it at the apostles’ feet” (Acts 4:36-37).   The early church was all about making sure the needs of people were met. We should obviously be doing the same. What was the key to these early believers’ generosity? “All the believers were together and had everything in common” (Acts 2:44). There was unity and they did not see their material possessions as theirs, but were stewards to use His property according to His desires.

            “Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers” (Galatians 6:10).  Know any fellow believer in need and you have opportunity to help? Then do so! Again, these are NEEDS AND NOT WANTS we are talking about. Then we can help any person who has a NEED— household of God is first priority and then others outside the household of God. Let us do so!

            So today, consider the poor, remember the poor and then as our Lord has given you opportunity, help the poor. Yes, Dear Father may I do so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus.   So may it be! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8sUZecMwD_M
