PERSPECTIVE AND PRAISE!

 Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation. —Psalm 42:5

            Are you downcast, discouraged or despairing today?   Are you in turmoil, restless or disturbed? If we get off focused, lose perspective then this can happen to us. There is so much happening in our world today that is negative, heartbreaking and tragic but let us not forget whose we are and where we are headed as followers of Jesus.

            Our hope is in God alone… or is surely should be!   If we put our hope in early relationships, material wealth or anything else we will be disappointed. They all fail us to some degree. We cannot even hope in ourselves because if we are honest we fail as well. We fail ourselves and we fail others. That is the fallen world we live in and let us not forget that. Our only Hope, the Hope that will not fail us ever is God.   Why would we place our hope in anyone or anything else above Him?

            When we have the right perspective, the right focus, the right Hope then we will praise Him who is our God and our salvation.   Just think about that and you cannot help but burst out in praise— my God and my salvation!   Rejoice!

Dear Father I want to thank You for being my God and my salvation. What joy to know whose I am, that I am forgiven and that I will be in glory with You and all who love You forever!
