WHERE MY FAITH IS PLACED
WHERE MY FAITH IS PLACED
The righteous shall live by faith. —Galatians 3:11
“For we live by faith, not by sight” (II Corinthians 5:7). “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me” (Galatians 2:20). “Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ” (Romans 10:17). “But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith. I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead” (Philippians 3:7-11). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GPqHufcoreg
Is this how you and I are living? Are we trusting Him moment by moment? Is our life a life of faith in Jesus as He lives through us? Praise God that He shone His light in our hearts that we might understand who Jesus is (II Corinthians 4:4-6). He allowed us to hear “the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory” (Ephesians 1:13-14). Am I living a life of faith?
My priorities will help answer this question— Love for God and people… prayer… desire to obey His Word… desire to be with His people… desire to share His gospel and make-disciples that make disciples… desire for His glory to be known… desire to serve Him according to His will… desire to see His Church/body built up… desire to see others serving Him… desire to finish the race He has marked out for me… desire to be with him in glory with all those who love Him. Yes, my priorities will reveal where I have place my faith.
Is my faith in me… in what I can do on my own? Is that how I am living or am I living with my faith in God… desiring Him to work through me. Dear Father may I live by faith in Jesus by Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus. May it be so!
Prayer Request: Please pray for the Disciple-Making Movement training we are having this week-end.— thanks
