WHERE IS YOUR FAITH?

Where is your faith? —Luke 8:25

Do we trust God only when things are going well? Are we of the mindset that God loves us only if there are no difficulties in our life? Will I trust His guidance even through the storms of life?

If anyone was to draw back for what they had been through it would have been the Apostle Paul.

“Are they servants of Christ? (I am out of my mind to talk like this.) I am more. I have worked much harder, been in prison more frequently, been flogged more severely, and been exposed to death again and again. Five times I received from the Jews the forty lashes minus one. Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was pelted with stones, three times I was shipwrecked, I spent a night and a day in the open sea, I have been constantly on the move. I have been in danger from rivers, in danger from bandits, in danger from my fellow Jews, in danger from Gentiles; in danger in the city, in danger in the country, in danger at sea; and in danger from false believers. I have labored and toiled and have often gone without sleep; I have known hunger and thirst and have often gone without food; I have been cold and naked. Besides everything else, I face daily the pressure of my concern for all the churches. Who is weak, and I do not feel weak? Who is led into sin, and I do not inwardly burn?” (II Corinthians 11:23-29)

Difficulties of any kind are a testing of our faith to mature us.

“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do” (James 1:2-8).

Trust Him. He is doing a good work in and through your life. “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see” (Hebrews 11:1). Where is your faith? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YsyyxJZTkjU

Dear Father, I know that You always have my best in mind. May I trust You fully through the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus.
