RECEIVE HIS INSTRUCTION

For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life. Therefore, anyone who rejects this instruction does not reject a human being but God, the very God who gives you his Holy Spirit. —I Thessalonians 4:7-8

How serious is that? To reject the instruction that comes from God’s Word through one of His servants is not rejecting His servant, but rejecting God Himself—- the very One who has given us His Holy Spirit! As followers of Jesus do we want to be in that position of rejecting His instruction?

Is there anything God has instructed you lately, but you are rejecting it? Consider how dangerous this is. Why would I not listen to what God is saying to me? It is because I want to do what I want to do. This grieves and quenches His Holy Spirit in our lives. I wonder how much this is happening in His Church.
