NOT KNOWING GOD’S WORD LEADS TO ERROR

Jesus replied, “Your mistake is that you don’t know the Scriptures, and you don’t know the power of God. —Mark 12:24

When people do not listen to God then they will be in error about all kinds of things. People who do not know God do not accept who He is nor the power that He has. These type people have to suppress the obvious—“But God shows his anger from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who suppress the truth by their wickedness. They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them. For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God” (Romans 1:18ff). Their darkened minds lead them into all kinds of error.

I am so grateful for God’s Word revealed to us in the Bible. We are not left in the dark on the great questions of life— “Where did I come from and where am I going? What is my purpose in life? Is there really a God? What is He like? Why do we die? Where did death come from? Is there really a heaven and hell?” Yes I am so thankful that God speaks to these issues and reveals the answers to us. Let us take time to listen to Him. Dear Father, thank You for speaking to Your people long ago through the prophets and for speaking to us in these final days through Your Son. I am so grateful that You have revealed Yourself to Me. You alone give the priority importance to life now and forever. Thank You. I am grateful in the Name of Jesus.
