LOVE AND SERVICE

Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. —Hebrews 10:23-25

How as the Spirit of God been working in your life? In what ways does He want you to use what He is doing in your life to motivate others on “to acts of love and good works?” This part of what discipleship is. We are to be “teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:20). Or, how is the Spirit of God seeking to work through someone to motivate you on “to acts of love and good works?” Are you willing to yield to Him to be and do what He desires? Will you serve Him as He is seeking to motivate you to do so? Dear Father, as Your Holy Spirit guides me to love and serve may I be obedient. May my obedience be in the authority of Jesus and by the Holy Spirit’s power. May it be so!
