CELEBRATE!

We must celebrate with a feast, for this son of mine was dead and has now returned to life. He was lost, but now he is found.’ So the party began. — Luke 15:23

Celebrate the lost when they return home! Oh, to see the lost respond to the gospel is truly a time to get excited about! People are wasting away their lives in so many ways. There are those whose lives “look” good and those whose lives “look” bad from the human perspective. But from God’s perspective both are in the same position without the Lord Jesus Christ— dead in their trespasses and sins (Ephesians 2:1-3).

“But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” —Ephesians 2:4-10

Dear Father, so be it today that from my mouth the good news of Jesus is communicated to someone who needs to hear. Let there be celebration today. May this be done in the authority of Jesus my Lord and in the power of the Holy Spirit. Yes, may it be so!
