THE WAY THE LOST TREAT YOU IS HOW THEY ARE TREATING JESUS

Then he said to the disciples, “Anyone who accepts your message is also accepting me. And anyone who rejects you is rejecting me. And anyone who rejects me is rejecting God, who sent me.” —Luke 10:16

When Jesus appeared to Saul on the road to Damascus He said, “Saul, Saul! Why are you persecuting me?” (Acts 9:4). What was being done to the followers of Jesus was being done to Jesus. So it is with the message we have to bring to those who do not know Jesus. The one who accepts the message is also accepting Jesus. The one who rejects the message we bring also rejects Jesus and God who sent Him (John 6:44, 57; 12:49).

“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!’ Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.” —Romans 10:13-15, 17).

Dear fellow follower of Jesus, there are those who will accept Jesus and those who will not. Our responsibility is to bring the message to people. It is their responsibility as to what they do with that message which is whether they want to accept Jesus or not. May we be faithful with the responsibility the Lord has given to us. Dear Father, please help me to plant and water as You desire me to. May this be done in the authority of Jesus and by the Holy Spirit’s guidance.
