FREED BY THE BLOOD OF JESUS— MY PASSOVER LAMB!

Then they are to take some of the blood and put it on the sides and tops of the doorframes of the houses where they eat the lambs. —Exodus 12:7

The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are, and when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No destructive plague will touch you when I strike Egypt. —Exodus 12:13

“We are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and the teachers of the law. They will condemn him to death and will hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified. On the third day he will be raised to life!” —Matthew 20:18-19

Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave— just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” —Matthew 20:26-28

My eyes are ever on the Lord, for only he will release my feet from the snare. —Psalm 25:15

             My sin… Who will save me from it?  Who will break its power over me and keep me from eternal judgment.  It is Jesus— our Passover Lamb —“For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed” (I Corinthians 5:7).

“For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake.” —I Peter 1:18-20

             It is by the blood of my Passover Lamb, Jesus, who saves me from eternal judgment.  Yes, Jesus “was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification” (Romans 4:25).  Therefore…

“The words “it was credited to him” were written not for him alone, but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness—for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead.” —Romans 4:23-24
