A LIFE THAT SPEAKS JESUS!
They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good. —Titus 1:16
For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good. —Titus 2:11-14
Our people must learn to devote themselves to doing what is good, in order to provide for urgent needs and not live unproductive lives. —Titus 3:14
The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing… I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me… Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. —Psalm 23:1, 4, 6
I can claim to be a follower of Jesus with my mouth, but it is my life, my actions that show whether I really do or not. I can stand on a used parking lot, but that doesn’t make me a used car any more than going to a church makes me a follower of Jesus. There are those who “claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him.” Do my actions, my life show that I know Jesus or that I am denying Him?
Do we say ‘“No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.” Am I truly His, eager to do what is good? Truly, are you and I devoted “to doing what is good, in order to provide for urgent needs and not live unproductive lives?”
Do I really believe that “The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing… I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me… Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever” (Psalm 23:1, 4, 6). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sIaT8Jl2zpI&list=RDvFvPOZ2Oay8&index=3
