SHINE IN THE DARKNESS

But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people. —II Timothy 3:1-5

Brothers and sisters, dear fellow followers/disciples of Jesus, we are told to “have nothing to do with such people.  These will be terrible times in the last days.  Look down through the list and look at our world.  These characteristics surely seem to be prevalent and so consider that “The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed” (Romans 13:11).  In the midst of all this, let us remember that He “gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good” (Titus 2:14).  So let us do the good He desires of us even when our world is sliding further into darkness.  Yes, Dear Father, may we do so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus our Lord.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tlc3i7oJ-uc&list=RDTlc3i7oJ-uc&start_radio=1
