WALK IN HIS WAYS

Don’t you know that a little yeast leavens the whole batch of dough? —I Corinthians 5:5

But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler. Do not even eat with such people. —I Corinthians 5:11

Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. —I Corinthians 6:9-11

Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies. —I Corinthians 6:19-20

Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you.  Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life. —Psalm 143:8

            Lord, please show me the way that I am to go.  Thank You for Your unfailing love.  I have put my trust in You and without You I can do nothing.  Since my body is the temple of Your Holy Spirit and that You have bought me at a HIGH PRICE, my desire is to honor You.

            Let there be mistake, I understand that we are not to “be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.”  Those claiming to follow You and yet live like this without any regret, well, there is a big red flag as to whether they truly know You or not. 

            You tell us in Your Word— “What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? God will judge those outside. “Expel the wicked person from among you” (I Corinthians 5:12-13).  Surely we know that “a little yeast leavens the whole batch of dough” and that we are to remove those who claim to be believers and yet are living like unbelievers.  Dear Father, help us to be faithful in this by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  Yes, please help me/us to be faithful in following You and doing Your will.  May this all be done for Your honor and glory and for the benefit of others. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vvOuEVA2h2Q&list=RDvvOuEVA2h2Q&start_radio=1
