I AM FORGIVEN AND MADE RIGHTEOUS
I AM FORGIVEN AND MADE RIGHTEOUS
Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord does not count against them and in whose spirit is no deceit. —Psalm 32:1-2
You should read all of Romans chapter 4 along with this verse. It is utterly astounding what our Lord has done for us.
“Now to the one who works, wages are not credited as a gift but as an obligation. However, to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness. David says the same thing when he speaks of the blessedness of the one to whom God credits righteousness apart from works: “Blessed are those whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord will never count against them.” —Romans 4:4-8
To the one who trusts and believes in what God says— “their faith is credited as righteousness.” To Abraham—
“The words “it was credited to him” were written not for him alone, but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness—for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.” —Romans 4:23-25
So also Abraham “believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.” Understand, then, that those who have faith are children of Abraham” (Galatians 3:6-7). Do you have the faith of Abraham? He believed what God had to say and it was counted to Him as righteousness. Do you believe what God has to say and did through Jesus? If so, you have the same faith as Abraham. Yes, let us trust in the Word of God and beware of the words of man. Yes, Dear Father, may this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus. Thank You for giving me Your righteousness through Jesus (II Corinthians 5:21). Now may I live faithfully for You! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tmA7hDYKSAg&list=RDtmA7hDYKSAg&start_radio=1
