ARE YOU READY?
ARE YOU READY!
People will flee to caves in the rocks and to holes in the ground from the fearful presence of the Lord and the splendor of his majesty, when he rises to shake the earth… They will flee to caverns in the rocks and to the overhanging crags from the fearful presence of the Lord and the splendor of his majesty, when he rises to shake the earth. —Isaiah 2:19, 21
I watched as he opened the sixth seal. There was a great earthquake. The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon turned blood red, and the stars in the sky fell to earth, as figs drop from a fig tree when shaken by a strong wind. The heavens receded like a scroll being rolled up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place. Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and everyone else, both slave and free, hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains. They called to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can withstand it?” —Revelation 6:12-17
When Jesus comes back “the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and everyone else, both slave and free” will not want to be in His presence. They will then know that the time of His judgment is upon them and they will be terrified. They will know that none will be able to withstand Him or His ways. Reality will truly set in.
How different the disciples of Jesus were feeling today. In this year of 2025 we, once again, remember the cross and resurrection. But between them was Saturday. A day of mourning, of dreams dashed and uncertainty. They were deeply saddened and their hopes were utterly dashed. They surely were not thinking about this “great day of God’s wrath” coming in the future. They felt like they had no future. All that they were told, all the expectations they had… all Jesus said He was and was going to do… gone… it is over. Darkness encompassed their thinking. What would life be like now…
But tomorrow… everything would drastically change again and as Jesus said, “you will weep and mourn while the world rejoices. You will grieve, but your grief will turn to joy” (John 16:20). Make no mistake— just as Jesus proved Himself to be the Son of God by the resurrection from the dead (Romans 1:4), so too the great day of His wrath will come. But, one way or the other, by His coming or by our death, we will see Jesus. Will you meet Him as Savior or Judge? The Lamb of God, Jesus, has your destiny in His hands. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZD6khv6pGkw&t=108s
Dear Father, thank You for all Jesus has done for us. As He arose, yes, He will come again and this time not to save, but to judge. Oh, may I truly get this message out by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus. Yes, so may it be and for all Your Honor and glory! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=On-whMoulOM
