DO WHAT IS GOOD!

If you fear the Lord and serve and obey him and do not rebel against his commands, and if both you and the king who reigns over you follow the Lord your God—good! But if you do not obey the Lord, and if you rebel against his commands, his hand will be against you, as it was against your ancestors. —I Samuel 12:14-15

Here is what is good—

It is good to fear the Lord, to have a proper attitude toward Him
It is good to serve the Lord
It is good to obey the Lord
It is good to not rebel against the Lord’s commands
It is good for the people to follow the Lord
It is good for the king to follow the Lord

Here is what is not good—

It is not good to disobey the Lord
It is not good to rebel against the Lord’s commands

The result of disobedience is that the Lord will be against the disobedient as this was the case in the past. So, what do you desire? That which is good: fear the Lord, serve the Lord obey the Lord, don’t rebel against the Lord, follow the Lord… Or do you desire that which is not good? — To disobey the Lord and rebel against His commands… Oh, may we make the right choice!
