MY GUIDE

For this God is our God for ever and ever; he will be our guide even to the end. —Psalm 48:18

            Now here’s a relationship that is totally dependable!  I am so grateful that my God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”  So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.  What can mere mortals do to me?” (Hebrews 13:5-6). He will be with me to the end just as Jesus said, “And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:20).  So whether the end of our lives on earth or the end of this age, we can totally trust in Him to guide us through to the end.

            Not only will He be with us until the end, but we are going to be with Him forever and ever!  Yes, this is true of every person who had called on Jesus to be saved from sin to a relationship with Him (Romans 10:13; John 17:2-3).  We are going to be with Him— “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away” (Revelation 21:3-4).

            I am just getting over a bout of the flu and I can say that I am so looking forward to this old order of things to pass away.  Oh, to be with Jesus where “There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain.”  Yes, looking forward to that time!  Until then, Dear Father, please help me to be faithful with the time I have left to be and do what Your desire.  Yes, may this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ow4OfW4DP9s
