THE GIFT THAT SAVES US FROM THE WRATH OF GOD!

THE GIFT THAT SAVES US FROM THE WRATH OF GOD!

At that time I will search Jerusalem with lamps, and I will punish the men who are complacent, those who say in their hearts, ‘The LORD will not do good, nor will he do ill.’ —Zephaniah 1:12

Then I saw another sign in heaven, great and amazing, seven angels with seven plagues, which are the last, for with them the wrath of God is finished —Revelation 15:1

Our Lord is not some wishy-washy God, some permissive grandfatherly Santa Claus that cares neither for good or ill.  No indeed!  Sin has ruined His creation and caused people to be in rebellion against Him.  Don’t be complacent, thinking our Lord God Almighty will not bring judgment on those who do not know Jesus and do not want to know Him and live for Him.  God’s Word is clear— “Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son” (John 3:18).  And… “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them” (John 3:36).

God’s wrath hovers over a person who has not called on Jesus at this very moment.  If they were to die at this moment, they would wind up in “the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels” (Matthew 25:41).  Those who have not called on Jesus are “God’s enemies” (Romans 5:10).  You don’t want to live or die in that state!

God will judge sin and those who have not received the “first gift of Christmas” or the “greatest gift.”  Receive God’s gift of His Son “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23).  There is no greater gift than the gift of Jesus— “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).  If you have not, receive the gift of His Son not by calling on Him— “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” (Romans 10:13).  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a3sNyZ1RSEk That is the Christmas story!

Yes, Dear Father, if there are any reading this, may they call on Jesus now by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FW5o2uBeMWQ
