FOLLOWERS OF JESUS ARE VICTORIOUS OVER THE WORLD AND DEATH

Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead, so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name. This calls for wisdom: let the one who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and his number is 666. —Revelation 13:16-18

            There is coming a time when people will be forced out of the world-wide economic system unless they have “the name of the beast or the number of its name.”  Years gone by this may have been hard to believe how this could be, but in our world today it is easy to see how this can happen.  With the economic world going digital it would be easy to shut people out of the economy. 

            The “beast” will be in control of the economic system “and all who dwell on earth will worship it, everyone whose name has not been written before the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who was slain.”  And the beast will cause “those who would not worship the image of the beast to be slain.”

            There will be a world-wide economic system, a world-wide religious system and a world-wide governmental system.  Let us keep our eyes on what is happening in our world, but we need not fret because…

“In all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” —Romans 8:37-39
