SPREAD THE GOOD NEWS!
SPREAD THE GOOD NEWS!
Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ. —Romans 10:17
Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. —John 20:30-31
Faith comes from hearing or reading the Word of God as His Word reveals who Jesus is. But…
“How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” —Romans 10:14-15
How can those you come into contact with be able to call on Jesus who they have not presently believed in? They cannot unless you, or someone else, tells them. They cannot believe unless they hear or read who Jesus is. Will you tell those you come into contact with? They cannot believe unless someone intentionally brings the Word about Jesus to them. Will You be intentional to do so? You cannot tell them unless you are sent. So, you understand that you have been sent? “As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world… My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message” (John 17:18, 20). We have been sent that others can hear and believe as the Holy Spirit shines the Truth into their hearts— “For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ. But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us” (II Corinthians 4:6-7). We bring the message to people and God is the One who has to touch the heart of a person to change them. We cannot do that.
What a great responsibility and privilege God has given to us. And He expects “this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come” (Matthew 24:14). And we understand that “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to (Jesus). Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”” (Matthew 28:19-20). So, Jesus has given us the responsibility to bring the gospel and make disciples in all the world. Are you being faithful in this right where you are at? Do you have a world perspective on sharing the gospel and making disciples? May it be so!
Dear Father may I be faithful in what you have called me to be and do. Oh, that I would share the gospel verbally and in written form, seeking to make disciples around me and please give creativity in reaching the world as well. May this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=morHP2cJoZs
