HE WILL ACCOMPLISH THE WORK HE DESIRES TO DO IN AND THROUGH YOU

So the wall was completed on the twenty-fifth of Elul, in fifty-two days. —Nehemiah 6:15

The Lord foils the plans of the nations; he thwarts the purposes of the peoples.  But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations. —Psalm 33:10-11

The wicked crave evil; their neighbors get no mercy from them. —Proverbs 21:10

             When our Lord put it on the heart of Nehemiah to rebuild the wall around Jerusalem, there was opposition.  Surely, “wicked crave evil; their neighbors get no mercy from them.”  There were those opposing the work that wanted to harm Nehemiah.  Again and again, they sought a meeting with Nehemiah for evil intent, but Nehemiah would not meet with them in order to finish the work our Lord put on his heart.

             When our Lord gives us work to do, it will get done.  Indeed, “The Lord foils the plans of the nations; he thwarts the purposes of the peoples.  But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations.”  So we can be sure that the work our Lord has prepared for us will get done.  “By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, their starry host by the breath of his mouth” and we can trust Him to do the work in our lives that He desires to do.  So, let us rest in Him, be faithful to Him and see Him do what He desires.  Yes, Dear Father, may this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  So be it!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z5vUCEth7p4&list=RDZ5vUCEth7p4&start_radio=1
