I Love you Lord!
He said, “Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you.” —John 21:17
Yes, our Lord knows all things. I love Him and He knows that. Do you love Him? He knows the answer to that as well. And “We love him, because he first loved us“ (I John 4:19). Evidence that we love Him is that “Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them” (John 14:21). Yes, those who love Him want to “keep his commands and do what pleases him” (I John 3:22). Loving our Lord is to be obedient to the Greatest Command to “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” When we do so, then we are more able to carry out the second Greatest Command to “Love your neighbor as yourself” (Matthew 22:37-39). When we grow in our understanding more and more of how much our Lord loves us, then we should have a healthy identity in Him and are more capable of loving others. —“And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ…” (Ephesians 3:17-18).
