GREAT IS OUR LORD!

“No one is good—except God alone. —Luke 18:19

Jesus took the Twelve aside and told them, “We are going up to Jerusalem, and everything that is written by the prophets about the Son of Man will be fulfilled.  He will be delivered over to the Gentiles. They will mock him, insult him and spit on him; they will flog him and kill him. On the third day he will rise again.” —Luke 18:31-33

For you are great and do marvelous deeds; you alone are God. —Psalm 86:10

             God is the only One who is good… all the time.  Are you good all the time?  I think not!  Nor am I, but oh how I long to be good all the time— to be perfect and never sin in thought, word or deed.  Yes, I look forward to glory when that will be the case.

             Yes, God, “you are great and do marvelous deeds; you alone are God.”  The foretelling by Jesus that they were—- “going up to Jerusalem, and everything that is written by the prophets about the Son of Man will be fulfilled.  He will be delivered over to the Gentiles. They will mock him, insult him and spit on him; they will flog him and kill him. On the third day he will rise again” —has proved that He alone is God, that His deeds are surely great— consider all that happened on the cross on our behalf!  Yes, Jesus fulfilled what was said about Him by the prophets.  Take heed!
