The word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” —Jeremiah 1:4-5
The specific and individual knowledge of one yet to be formed in the womb is known already by our Lord. In fact, before Jeremiah was created in the womb our Lord knew him and had an appointment for him. Truly, our Lord had set Jeremiah apart for a special work.
What does this tell us about those formed in the womb? It tells us—
- Every individual is known by our Lord before they even begin to form in the womb
- Every individual is set apart by our Lord to fulfill some purpose in life
- Every individual is appointed by our Lord
So, what does this tell us about those aborting children in the womb?
- They are destroying those our Lord knew before being formed in the womb
- They are destroying those set apart by our Lord to fulfill purpose in life
- They are destroying those appointed by our Lord
