DEFINITION OF A FOOL— FROM GOD’S PERSPECTIVE
DEFINITION OF A FOOL— FROM GOD’S PERSPECTIVE
The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds, there is none who does good. The LORD looks down from heaven on the children of man, to see if there are any who understand, who seek after God. They have all turned aside; together they have become corrupt; there is none who does good, not even one. —Psalm 14:1-3
God says “the fool says in his heart, “There is no God.’” Then God describes the fool—
- They are corrupt
- They do abominable deeds
- They don’t do good
- They do not have understanding
- They do not seek God
- They have turned aside
- They have become corrupt
This is what our Lord sees from His perspective— from His view from heaven. In a fallen, sinful world— this is what we get. No wonder people have wicked thoughts, words and actions. This is what you get when you do not want to live for God. Instead, people think they are in control of their own lives and this is the greatest, deceptive scheme of the devil which he has used from the beginning— “you will be like God” (Genesis 3:5). But in reality, people “must be gently instructed, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will” (II Timothy 2:25-26). The fool that believes there is not God seeks to be god of their own lives not understanding that their god (father) is actually the devil—
Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I have come here from God. I have not come on my own; God sent me. Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say. You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me! Can any of you prove me guilty of sin? If I am telling the truth, why don’t you believe me? Whoever belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God.” —John 8:42-47
Is God your Father or is the devil your father. This above paragraph gives you the answer. If you love Jesus then God is your Father. If you do not don’t believe in Jesus, then your father is the devil— whether you want to believe that or not. Don’t be a fool and be fooled by the devil who has entrapped you, holding you captive to do his will. Call on Jesus (Romans 10:13) to be saved and have God as your Father and escape from the devil’s bondage. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYZw0dfLmLk&t=135s https://youtu.be/_MbcYyOsF50?t=28 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QANH8MWuyaE
