YOU ARE FOR JESUS OR AGAINST HIM!

YOU ARE FOR JESUS OR AGAINST HIM! 

Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters. —Luke 11:23

But he said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!” —Luke 11:28

             Are you with Jesus or against Jesus?  Are you gathering with Jesus or scattering from Jesus?  Is He your Shepherd or not?  Are you in His flock or out of it?  How do you know?  Well, those who are blessed by Him “are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”  Now there is a good indicator that a person is with Jesus and gathering with Him.  It is a picture of sheep—

“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all ; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.” —John 10:27-30

             See— this is about relationship with Jesus.  A person that has a relationship with Jesus is communicating with Him— listening and keeping His Word, talking to Him.  Those with a relationship with Him are gathering His sheep with Him.  Does this describe you?  Are you in His flock?  Are you encouraging others to be in His flock?

             Again, I ask, “Are you with Jesus or against Jesus?”  You cannot be both.  Are you listening to His Word and being/doing what He desires?  Are you encouraging others to be part of His flock?

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.

He makes me lie down in green pastures,

he leads me beside quiet waters,

he refreshes my soul.

He guides me along the right paths

for his name’s sake.

Even though I walk

through the darkest valley, 

I will fear no evil,

for you are with me;

your rod and your staff,

they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me

in the presence of my enemies.

You anoint my head with oil;

my cup overflows.

Surely your goodness and love will follow me

all the days of my life,

and I will dwell in the house of the Lord

forever.” —Psalm 23

             Becoming part of His flock is to first call on the Lamb of God— God’s Answer For Man – The Lamb (youtube.com) Then a person has the desire to follow Him. Chris Tomlin – I Will Follow (youtube.com) And so, Dear Father, may I follow closely behind my Shepherd.  May this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son, Jesus.
