BETTER YOU HAD NOT BEEN BORN!

BETTER YOU HAD NOT BEEN BORN!

“The Son of Man goes as it is written of him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been better for that man if he had not been born.” —Matthew 26:24

Have you ever heard someone say, “I wish I had never been born!” or maybe you have said it at one time or another.  Usually when someone says this it is because something is not going as they expected it to or wanted it to.

When Jesus said this though, He was speaking about one who would betray Him, was actually against Him.  In reality, what Jesus said about Judas is true of every single person who is against Jesus.  Those who do not want to follow Jesus, don’t want anything to do with Jesus should listen closely to what Jesus said— “It would have been better for that man if he had not been born.”

Why would He say that?  It is because the future, the eternal future, of those who are not following Jesus, are against Jesus, will be eternally separated from Him in the lake of fire— “Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire” (Revelation 20:14-15).  Here’s what we know about the lake of fire—

  • The false prophet was thrown alive into the lake of fire (Revelation 19:20).
  • The beast was thrown alive into the lake of fire (Revelation 19:20).
  • The devil was thrown into the lake of fire (Revelation 20:10).
  • The false prophet had already been in the lake of fire for 1000 years (Revelation 7,10)
  • The beast had already been in the lake of fire for 1000 years (Revelation 7,10).
  • The false prophet will be tormented day and night for ever and ever . Revelation 20:10).
  • The beast will be tormented day and night for ever and ever Revelation 20:10).
  • The devil will be tormented day and night for ever and ever Revelation 20:10).
  • Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death (Revelation 20:14).
  • Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire (Revelation 20:15).

I do not understand the lake of fire.  I do not understand how someone could be tormented forever and ever.  But because I do not understand it does not take away the truth of what will happen to those who do not trust Jesus.  Forever and ever is never ceasing…  That is why Jesus said, “It would have been better for that man if he had not been born.”  If you are reading this and have not called on Jesus.  I implore you; I beg You to do so!  The truth will set you free.  Jesus will set you free— https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYZw0dfLmLk&t=215s

Dear Father, please help anyone reading this who has not called on Jesus to be convinced of Who He is and call on His Name now.  May this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.
