GOD ENABLES WOMEN TO HAVE CHILDREN!
When Rachel saw that she bore Jacob no children, she envied her sister. She said to Jacob, “Give me children, or I shall die!” Jacob’s anger was kindled against Rachel, and he said, “Am I in the place of God, who has withheld from you the fruit of the womb?” —Genesis 30:1-2
In the above verses, Jacob states the truth that it is God who gives the ability to have children or not. God’s plan from the beginning was to be “God blessed them and said to them, ‘Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground’” (Genesis 1:28). Again, after the flood, “God blessed Noah and his sons, saying to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the earth” (Genesis 9:1). God told Jacob the same thing— “And God said to him, “I am God Almighty; be fruitful and increase in number. A nation and a community of nations will come from you, and kings will be among your descendants. The land I gave to Abraham and Isaac I also give to you, and I will give this land to your descendants after you.” Then God went up from him at the place where he had talked with him” (Genesis 35:11-13). This is God’s design and plan through the ages.
But what is Satan’s plan and the plan by those doing Satan’s will? It is to destroy life. Satan and those doing his will (II Timothy 2:26) do that through abortion, through wars, through murder, through suicide, through drug overdoses and any other way they can scheme up. However they can destroy life, they will. Satan hates God and those who are evil and don’t want anything to do with God are also under Satan’s influence to do his will of destroying life.
Let us be aware of Satan’s schemes and the schemes of those he is holding captive to do his will. Pray for those doing Satan’s will that they would be released from his bondage to evil doing. Pray for those aborting children, for those instigating war, for those who have murdered, for drug dealers… that they would come to their senses and escape from the trap of Satan.
Saul was a violent man having believers executed, but our Lord God Almighty intervened in his life (Act 9:1-19; Act 26). Saul, now Paul, was then used greatly by God, and still is, to impact many around the world. Oh, that our Lord would save many in Satan’s clutches and that they would become powerful witnesses for our Lord. Pray that this would be so!
Dear Father, we know that nobody can come to Jesus unless You draw them. Be pleased to draw many of these violently used by Satan and draw them to Jesus that they might then be a powerful witness for Jesus.
