ACKNOWLEDGE THE GLORY, HONOR AND POWER OF JESUS!
“Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.” —Revelation 4:11
Our Lord is “to receive glory and honor and power.” Why is this so? It is because He has created all things. It is by His will they exist and it is by His will they were created. And in the beginning He said of His creation— “God saw all that he had made, and it was very good” (Genesis 1:31). Then sin entered the human race through Adam and Eve and evil has impact every area of creation— “For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God. We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time” (Romans 820-22).
Jesus will receive full glory and honor and power in the not-too-distant future. He will be known by all as to Who He Is. When that day comes “the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and everyone else, both slave and free, hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains. They called to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us f from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can withstand it?” (Revelation 6:15-17).
All those who did not call on Jesus to save them, those who have rejected Him, will be rejected by Him. Those who wanted to live an anti-Christ life will now experience eternity without Him— “But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death” (Revelation 21:8). These are those who do not want to acknowledge the “glory and honor and power” of Jesus. They did not want to receive the gift of eternal life through Jesus so now they will experience eternal death apart from Jesus… forever!
Dear Father, if there are any reading this today and have not called on Jesus, may You be pleased to draw them to Jesus so they may be saved from sin and hell to a relationship with Jesus and eternal life.
