OUR LORD JESUS WILL COME!

For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words. —I Thessalonians 4:16-18

            Oh, glorious day!  This will happen sometime in the future and maybe that time is not far off as we look at what is happening in our world.  Keep your eyes on God’s Word and the events in the world to understand the times we are in.

            But one day our Lord “will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.”  Oh yes, this is going to happen and what a joy if we were that generation that was living when this happens.  But either way, by our death or His coming, we are going to see and be with Jesus and all who love Him… soon!

            We are to encourage each other with these Words from our Lord.  He wants us to keep on remembering and pondering what is coming for those who love Him.  He does not want us to get caught up in the things of this world or to get distracted by them.  No, we should be looking at those things with eternal significance.  May we be doing so!

Dear Father, I look so forward to being with Jesus and all who love Him.  May I faithfully encourage others with these Words and not get distracted by the things of this world.  May this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Dear Son Jesus.  Yes, so may it be!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aKTqwBetI1I
