Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of the things that they do in secret. But when anything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible, —Ephesians 5:11-13

We as followers of Jesus are not to take “part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them.” So, how is the church exposing “the unfruitful works of darkness?” What is the church exposing that “is shameful even to speak of the things that they do in secret?” What are we, brothers and sisters, fellow followers of Jesus, bringing into the light that is being done in darkness?
There are many areas, but one of the unknown secrets in the United States is the magnitude of child sex trafficking. It is hidden in darkness, but needs to be exposed more and more and brought into the light to see it for what it really is. You can be sure that this is not being exposed because there are those at every level of society that are involved.
These promoters and buyers need to be prosecuted— those trafficked are victims and need restoration service. You know why. It is because of who is written in those logs. How can this very troubling wickedness be eradicated when those who are supposed to be making the laws, keeping the laws and educating others are involved in the very thing they publicly may speak against, but in the shadows are involved in? Those in power positions so often pervert the responsibility they have been given to resolve problems by being part of the problem and promoters of the problem.
This is spiritual warfare and we, brothers and sisters, need to be praying constantly, talking to our Lord about this to expose what is happening in darkness and ask Him to bring it into the light for justice to be done. Child trafficking is utterly atrocious, so demonic and the light of the gospel needs to expose it for what it is. This is one area of dark, secret wickedness that is taking place among others. Let us do the part our Lord desires of us to expose the “evil deeds of darkness” while having nothing to do with them. Yes, Dear Father, may this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus as You guide us.
