FEAR NOT! WAIT ON OUR LORD!

FEAR NOT!  WAIT ON OUR LORD!

The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? —Psalm 27:1

For my father and my mother have forsaken me, but the LORD will take me in. —Psalm 27:10

Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the LORD! —Psalm 27:14

Fear… the first time in the human race when that was experienced was when Adam spoke it to our Lord and said, “I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid” (Genesis 3:10).  Fear was felt because of failure.  Adam ate of the tree he was told not to eat from.  He rebelled against God and sinned.  One result of that sin is fear.

When our Lord is my “light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?”  I do not need fear man or anything else.  My Lord is my safety, my refuge.  The worst that can happen to me is I die, but that only ushers me into the eternal presence of my Lord.  I can be sure that even if those who are closest to me forsake me, my Lord will never forsake me.  Nothing… absolutely nothing can separate me from Him!

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, k neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. —Romans 8:37-39

So, whatever we may be going through, or will go through, “Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the LORD!”  Yes, Dear Father, may we wait on You by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  So be it!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PsQmsEE_2-s
