THE WISE AND THE FOOL

THE WISE AND THE FOOL

Thus says the LORD: “Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches, but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight, declares the LORD.” —Jeremiah 9:23-24

The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds, there is none who does good.” —Psalm 14:1

“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.” —Matthew 7:24-27

Oh, Dear Father, that we would be wise and not foolish.  May this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Dear Son, Jesus.  So may it be.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=juwY5KVlB7s
