OUR ONLY HOPE!

For behold, he who forms the mountains and creates the wind, and declares to man what is his thought, who makes the morning darkness, and treads on the heights of the earth— the LORD, the God of hosts, is his name! —Amos 4:13

 Seek the LORD and live… —Amos 5:4, 6, 14

Seek good, and not evil, that you may live; and so the LORD, the God of hosts, will be with you, as you have said. Hate evil, and love good, and establish justice in the gate; it may be that the LORD, the God of hosts, will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph. —Amos 5:14-15

 Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds his people, from this time forth and forevermore. —Psalm 125:1-2

            Who are we to seek?  We are to seek the One Who—

• Formed the mountains
• Creates the wind
• Declares to man what is His thought
• Makes the morning darkness
• Treads the heights of the earth

He is the Lord, the God of hosts!  This is the One we are to seek.  We are to seek good and not evil.  This will bring life.  Oh, how our nation, people in our nation need to hear this.  Instead of doing evil which brings death, and there is so much of it, we need to be seeking the Lord, seeking to do good, seeking life.  Unless we do, evil will continue to increase.  Oh, may our nation repent and turn to God.

We are to hate evil.  We are to love good.  We are to do justice.  Will we return to the Lord?  If so, this will start with faithfulness in His Church.  His Church needs to repent and do His will!  Oh, that our Lord would be gracious to us.  May we truly trust Him and not be moved from His desires.  Brother and sister, we are forever found in Him, but will we be faithful to Him?  Our Lord is ever present so let us be the type of people He desires us to be and let us be about the desires He desires us to desire and do.  Yes, Dear Father, may this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  Yes, so may it be. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IGLwJNYu7q8
