HE WORKS THE WAYS OF HIS WORD
For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it. —Isaiah 55:10-11

Lord, I have dedicated my life to You— though I don’t do that perfectly. I put my full trust in what You have to say. Your Word is dear to me. It is a joy to hear what You have you say, knowing I can trust You fully. Yes, I come to You in the morning because Your Word brings me hope— “The Sovereign LORD has given me a well-instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary. He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being instructed” (Isaiah 50:4). Not only does Your Word bring hope, but also enlightens me for Your Word is Truth— “Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth” (John 17:17).
We are receiving much rain at the moment and grass, flowers and all kinds of vegetation are sprouting. The landscape is turning from grow to green. Planting of seed is taking place and will take place. Animals have plenty to eat. It is an abundantly provisional time of year— Spring!
All this new life reminds us, as Your Word says, that as Your Word is shared, it, like the rain that has the effect You desire, will also accomplish what You desire. Your Word going forth is not for empty purposes, but it will succeed in the purposes You have. So, fellow follower of Jesus, sow His Word, share His Word for His Word will accomplish the reasons it goes forth from you.
