OUR LORD JUDGES

He will judge the world in righteousness, and the peoples in his faithfulness. —Psalms 96:13

            Our Lord will bring judgment on an individual, a tribe, a people or a nation for their wickedness.  He can do so by a nation being defeated their enemies.  He can do so by affecting climate.  He can do so through impacting the food chain.  He can do so by bringing a plague.  He can do so through sickness (I Kings 8:33, 35, 37).  But if an individual, a tribe, a people or a nation repent, these things can be averted.

            We look at our nation today and wickedness from within is rotting our culture at the core.  This is true of the world in general.  It is a fallen world and we know, according to God’s Word, where we are ultimately heading.  But presently, the United States are far from united.  We are a fractured people and there is intentionality in causing these fractures.  If we continue down the road we are on as a nation it will no longer be a bastion of freedom, but a nation in bondage like any other.

            Our Lord is not mocked by an individual, a tribe, a people or a nation without being judged at some point.  The U.S. is already feeling His hand of judgment.  If we continue in the direction we presently are then we will feel the full weight of His hand of judgment. 

            Brother and sister, fellow follower of Jesus, let us pray for this nation we live in.  May God have mercy.  Yes, Dear Father, without Your mercy and grace we are doomed.  May You be pleased to do something new in our nation.  Begin with Your Church that we would be what You desire us to be.  May this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  Yes, may we be lovingly obedient for Your honor and glory. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qL7rMNfB1Lg
