FORGIVEN!

FORGIVEN!

Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man against whom the LORD counts no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit…  I acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not cover my iniquity; I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the LORD,” and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. —Psalm 32:1-2, 5

“Blessed are those whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.  Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord will never count against them.” —Romans 4:7-8

How happy are we to know our transgressions and sins are forgiven and covered?  How happy are we to know that our sin will never be counted against us?  How is this possible?  It is because we have been justified by God through the finished work of Jesus at the cross!  God’s righteousness has been credited to us— “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God” (II Corinthians 5:21).  We put our faith in Jesus being “delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification” and “believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead” (Romans 4:24-25).  Wow!  What happiness and joy is ours knowing our sin is forgiven and will never be counted against us!  We should be the happiest people on the planet knowing this!  Justice has been served on our behalf by our Lord Jesus.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_ZWEO36jok   Rejoice you are forgiven.  Now… be faithful in living for Him.

“You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness” (Romans 6:18).  Brother and sister, fellow follower of Jesus, we have been set free from sin, Satan, selfishness, death and hell.  Now, out of the gratitude of all He has done for us, let us live faithfully for Him according to His Word.  Yes, Dear Father, may this be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  So may it be!
