PERSEVERE AND SEE HIS PROMISES COME TO PASS!

PERSEVERE AND SEE HIS PROMISES COME TO PASS!

And on that very day the Lord brought the Israelites out of Egypt by their divisions. —Exodus 12:51

Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. —Psalm 20:7

Are you trusting our Lord for what He desires to accomplish in and through you and those around you?  Moses was commanded by our Lord to lead the Israelites out of Egypt where they had been in bondage for 430 years.  It was a long process of judgments before Pharaoh finally let the Israelites go.  Would you have persevered when—

  • The work was made harder for the Israelites and they were discouraged and would not listen to Moses.
  • Moses lacked confidence to speak to Pharaoh
  • Aaron’s staff sign became a snake, but Pharaoh would not let the Israelites go.
  • Aaron’s rod touched the Nile River and it became blood, the fish died and it stank, but Pharaoh would not let the Israelites go.
  • Aaron stretched out his staff and frogs covered the land, but Pharaoh would not let the Israelites go.
  • Aaron stretched out his staff and gnats were on the people and animals everywhere, but Pharaoh would not let the Israelites go.
  • Our Lord brought dense swarms of flies in all the houses of Egyptians, but Pharaoh would not let the Israelites go.
  • Our Lord brought a plague and all the livestock of the Egyptians died, but Pharaoh would not let the Israelites go.
  • Moses and Aaron took dust, threw it into the air and boils broke out on people and animals, but Pharaoh would not let the Israelites go.
  • Moses stretched out his hand toward the sky and hail fell all over Egypt with lightning and thunder, on people, animals and fields, but Pharaoh would not let the Israelites go.
  • Moses stretched out his hand and swarms of locusts destroyed every green thing, but Pharaoh would not let the Israelites go.
  • Moses stretched out his hand and a darkness that could be felt enveloped the land for 3 days and nobody moved, but Pharaoh would not let the Israelites go.
  • Our Lord struck down the firstborn of Egypt— from Pharaoh’s own son to the firstborn of the prisoner and firstborn of livestock and then Pharaoh let the Israelites go.

Moses led the people as they journeyed out of Egypt.  Look at all Moses persevered though before seeing the Lord accomplish what He said he would do.  Not all the power of Egypt, its Pharoah or armies could stop what our Lord desired to do.  Will we trust our Lord through the process of what He wants to do in and through our lives? To be sure, it will not be exactly what we expect.  Oh, Dear Father, may we surely trust You for all You want to do in and through our lives.  May we do so because we love You and want to honor You through loving obedience.  Yes, may this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8Sx_U0Ztr8
