When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him… —Psalm 8:3-4

Looking at the universe and knowing it was God who created it as He also did the moon and stars place them exactly where He wanted them.  When I think of creation I am overwhelm, astounded and astonished that He would even think of me or that He would even consider this small planet in His vast creation.

But He does and “The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge. There is no speech, nor are there words, whose voice is not heard. Their voice goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world” (Psalm 19:1-4).  He is there and He is not silent.  His very creation communicates that He is there— “For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse” (Romans 1:20).  People can deny the existence of God all they want, but there is no excuse, no reason for not acknowledging Him.

Instead, people “deliberately overlook this fact, that the heavens existed long ago, and the earth was formed out of water and through water by the word of God” (II Peter 3:5).  Why do people “deliberately overlook this fact?”  It is because they do not want to live for God and according to His ways.  They do not want to honor God.  They desire to be autonomous and do what they want to do.  The problem with this is that they have no control over when they will the day they will die and then the reality of God will no longer be suppressed.

I urge you, if you are reading this and have not called on the Name of Jesus to save you from your sin and to save you to a relationship with God through Him, do so now!  He cares and loves you very much.  Wow.. this is amazing!  We never know when we will take our last breath.  Call  on Him now!

Dear Father I am so grateful that Your glory and power are seen in Your creation.  Oh, that Your creation would be stirring people and prepare them to call on Jesus, Your Son.  May I encourage people to do so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son.  Yes, may this be so!
