RIGHTEOUS, BLAMELESS FOR ALL WHO BELIEVE!

RIGHTEOUS, BLAMELESS FOR ALL WHO BELIEVE!

And he believed the LORD, and he counted it to him as righteousness. —Genesis 15:6

Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness! —Psalm 4:1

Now the words “it was credited to him” were written not only for Abraham, but also for us, to whom righteousness will be credited—for us who believe in Him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. He was delivered over to death for our trespasses and was raised to life for our justification. —Romans 4:23-25

God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. —II Corinthians 5:21

You have put more joy in my heart than they have when their grain and wine abound. In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety. —Psalm 4:7-8

True peace and joy comes when we truly understand what God has done for all who have believed in Him and have called on Him to saved (Romans 10:13).  Upon belief there is what some have coined— “The Great Exchange.”  Jesus took our sin upon Himself at the cross, rising from the dead and proving He is the Son of God (Romans 1:4) and then giving us His righteousness (II Corinthians 5:21).  We have no righteous of our own, God gives us His!  David says of God that He is the “God of my righteousness.”  Abraham believed God and God “counted it to him as righteousness.”  These words, “counted it to Him as righteousness” is a theme that runs throughout the Word of God.  The righteousness that was credit to Abraham by believing God is also credited to “us who believe in Him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. He was delivered over to death for our trespasses and was raised to life for our justification.”  The righteousness of God is only given upon belief in Jesus.

When we truly understand what this means it will bring us great joy and peace, just as it did David and all who understand what God has done for us.  He has given us freely His righteousness when we called on Him.  This is the only way we could be in relationship with Him and be in Heaven with Him when we die or when He comes back to take us to be with Him.  He has made us righteous.  Again, “This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe” (Romans 3:22).  Understand this!— For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight” (Ephesians 1:4).  Rejoice!  We are righteous and blameless in His sight and He did it!  Now, out of great gratitude, may we live faithfully for Him and for His glory!  Oh, Dear Father, may I truly be and do what You desire out of thankfulness for all that You have done, are doing and will do for me in Jesus.  Yes, may this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus.  Yes… so may it be— all for Your Honor and glory!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjLlLPZderk
