GOD JUDGED WORLD-WIDE ONCE, HE IS GOING TO DO IT AGAIN!

In the course of time Cain brought to the LORD an offering of the fruit of the ground, and Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat portions. And the LORD had regard for Abel and his offering, 5 but for Cain and his offering he had no regard. So Cain was very angry, and his face fell. 6 The LORD said to Cain, “Why are you angry, and why has your face fallen? If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door. Its desire is for you, but you must rule over it.” Cain spoke to Abel his brother. And when they were in the field, Cain rose up against his brother Abel and killed him. —Genesis 4:3-8

The LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. —Genesis 6:5

Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight, and the earth was filled with violence. And God saw the earth, and behold, it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth. And God said to Noah, “I have determined to make an end of all flesh, for the earth is filled with violence through them. Behold, I will destroy them with the earth. —Genesis 6:11-13

For in seven days I will send rain on the earth forty days and forty nights, and every living thing that I have made I will blot out from the face of the ground.” — Genesis 7:4

Everything on the dry land in whose nostrils was the breath of life died. —Genesis 7”22

Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD and against his Anointed, saying, “Let us burst their bonds apart and cast away their cords from us.”—Psalms 2:1-3

When sin (rebellion against God/disobedience) entered the human race, man became violent in short order.  Cain was upset when God accepted Abel’s offering, but not his.  God told Cain that he would be accepted if he did what was right.  God also warned Cain that sin, like a cat, was “crouching at the door. Its desire is for you, but you must rule over it.”  But Cain was angry.  He did not respond to God; did not acknowledge God.  Instead, he took his anger out on Abel and killed him.  Sin’s evilness worked quickly in the first family and increased wickedly in the whole human race.

Sin’s pervasiveness reached the point where “The LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.”  The world was corrupted away from the goodness of God to the wickedness of man.  The Lord would put an end to the violence by judging the earth with a flood and “Everything on the dry land in whose nostrils was the breath of life died.”

Today “why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD and against his Anointed, saying, “Let us burst their bonds apart and cast away their cords from us.”  Rulers of this world, and people in general, actually counsel together not to follow God, but to follow their own sinful ways.  The earth is becoming more and more perverse and violent as sin becomes pervasive as it was in Noah’s day.  God judged the earth world-wide once and He will do so again.  This time it will not be with water—

But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.  Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells. —II Peter 3:10-13

Man perverts the ways of God because of the sin that entered the human race in the Garden of Eden.  But our Lord God Almighty will put a final end to it and then “a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells” will be forever!  That day is coming and as followers of Jesus, brothers and sisters, we are to be living holy and godly lives to honor our Lord.  For those of you who do not know Jesus, I urge you to call on His Name now (Romans 10:13).  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYZw0dfLmLk&t=2s

Dear Father may I be faithful to You with the remainder of my life.  May I encourage people to trust Jesus and live for Him.  Thank You that You have shown us our purpose on this planet and that we know the end of the story for this planet and what is beyond.  Yes, may I tell others about Your plans and purposes by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  So be it…  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qkSBmRAVXNc
