YOU RECEIVED GOD’S GIFT TO SERVE OTHERS FOR HIS GLORY

As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. —I Peter 4:10-11

Therefore let those who suffer according to God’s will entrust their souls to a faithful Creator while doing good. —I Peter 4:19

What is the gift or gifts that God has given you?  Do you know?  Why is it you do not know?  How long have you been following Jesus?  If you have been following Jesus for years then it ought to be evident by now as to what gift or gifts you have.  Are you serving others with that gift or gifts that God has given you to apply for His honor and glory?

God has given us those gifts to steward and this is done by the grace that He has given us.  We all do not have the same amount of grace— God gives a varying amount of grace to each who have called on the Name of Jesus and are following Him.  A couple of the gifts are mentioned in the above verses, but all the gifts are meant to serve others, not ourselves.  We are to speak the Word of God and serve in “the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ.”  All that we are and all that we do is to bring glory to God through Jesus.  Is that happening in your life and mine?  Is that our desire?

Even if/when we are going through suffering, we are not to stop doing what is good.  If, within God’s will, we are suffering we should be entrusting ourselves to our “faithful Creator.”  Suffering is not to stop our serving Him, but instead it can be a testimony to His faithfulness as He works in and through us while we are suffering.  So let us be faithful… even while we may be suffering… or if we are not presently suffering.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQZrLkTjwgM

Dear Father may I be faithful in serving with the gift (s) You have given me.  May I do so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Precious Son in order to bring honor and glory to Your Name.  May it be so!
