By lying to my people, who listen to lies, you have killed those who should not have died and have spared those who should not live. —Ezekiel 13:19

Because you disheartened the righteous with your lies, when I had brought them no grief, and because you encouraged the wicked not to turn from their evil ways and so save their lives, therefore you will no longer see false visions or practice divination. I will save my people from your hands. And then you will know that I am the Lord.’ ” —Ezekiel 13:22-23

Lies kill people.  People that should not have died.  Lies spare people.  People that should not live.  Wow… those are strong words.  Lies and liars do not protect those that they should protect.  Lies and liars do not carry out justice on those they should carry justice out on.

Lies and liars “dishearten the righteous.”  The righteous see what is the right thing to do, but there are liars that just will not do the right thing— whatever their motivation is— which is selfish.  Lies and liars “encourage the wicked not to turn from their evil ways.”  And “When the sentence for a crime is not quickly carried out, people’s hearts are filled with schemes to do wrong” (Ecclesiastes 8:11).  Lies and liars encourage great corruption and death.  But our Lord “will save (His) people from your hands.”

Beware of lies and liars.  Their motivation is evil and so are their plans.  The righteous need to be aware and not become disheartened.  Being disheartened or discouraged is a lack of courage.  We need to be bold and courageous in Jesus as we keep our eyes fixed on Him and not on circumstances that occur because of lies and liars.  We live according to the Truth and we are in the Truth.  None can separate us from that Truth… none or nothing (Romans 8:37-39).  Just be and do what our Lord desires.  We know whose we are and where we are going.  Do not be disheartened or discouraged.

Yes!  We are safe in Jesus, “But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”  Those who do not repent and call on Jesus (Romans 10:13), seen by living the above mentioned lifestyles, will be judged by our Lord. So, if you are reading this and have not called on Jesus to save you— watch this and respond… please, I urge you!—

Dear Father please help me to discern between those who are speaking the truth and those who are speaking lies.  May this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  And pleased work through me to draw others to Yourself.  May it be so!
