But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself. —Philippians 3:20-21

Keep in mind whose “country” we belong to!  Fellow follower of Jesus, we are citizens of heaven first along with all those who have called on the Name of our Lord for salvation.  Let us keep our focus the King and His “country” and not be distracted from the ambassadorship that we have been given— “We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God” (II Corinthians 5:20).  Our main focus as His ambassador is to appeal to others to be reconciled to God.  May we be faithful in this!

We are also citizens of an earthly country and we are to be faithful witnesses in that country, but we represent another country and that is our first obligation.  Let us represent that heavenly country, our homeland, well in the country where we live.  Always keep in the forefront of our minds that we are awaiting our Savior to come.  Do not get distracted by things in this earthly country where we presently reside.  Keep focused on those eternal, heavenly things.  Yes, keep focus!

When we see Jesus He will transform “our lowly body to be like his glorious body.”  What will that be like?  Well, whatever Jesus’ body is like our body will be like His!  Wow… that is exciting!  “Beloved, we are now children of God, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that when Christ appears, we will be like Him, for we will see Him as He is.  And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as Christ is pure” (I John 3:2-2).  This hope is to motivate us to live pure lives for Him.  Yes, Dear Father, may we do so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Precious Son Jesus.  Oh, we wait for You… Even so, come Lord Jesus!
