Woe to those who go to great depths to hide their plans form the Lord, who do their work in darkness and think, “Who sees us?  Who will know?”  You turn things upside down, as if the potter where thought to be like the clay!  Shall what is formed say to him who formed it, “He did not make me?”  Can the pot say of the potter, “He knows nothing?” —Isaiah 29:15-16

There are people who think they are hiding what they are doing, but our Lord knows.  These people do their work “in darkness and think, “Who sees us?  Who will know?”  How foolish to think like this when “Northing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight.  Everything is uncovered and lad bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account” (Hebrews 4:13).  Nobody, not you or I or anyone else is hiding anything from our Lord.  He sees it all!  How sobering this is and yet, on the other hand, how comforting this is as well.

There are those who think they are the potter and that our Lord is the clay.  They think they know better than Him or can take actions that are better than His.  They desire to be the captain of their lives and the lives of others and make the Lord just one of the mates or something less.  They even go to the point of thinking the Lord did not create them and they come up with some other reason for their existence.  They have the gall to say about our Lord that “He knows nothing.”

Oh, but those who think like this have a rude awakening ahead if they do not repent and call on Jesus.  They will hear these terrifying words one day from the mouth of our Lord— “Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels” and “they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life” (Matthew 25:41, 46).

People that think He knows nothing do not understand that He knows everything!  Those who think they are in control are dead wrong.  It is He that is Sovereign over all and in control.  People hiding and doing in darkness do not understand that it is as if they are doing it in broad daylight before our Lord.  He sees and knows everything.

It is sobering to think our Lord knows and sees everything and all of us will stand before Him one day.  Those who have called on His Name will be at the Judgment Seat of Christ.  Fortunately, there will be no condemnation there because Jesus already took that for all who trust Him.  He will seek to acknowledge how we served Him (II Corinthians 5:10).  Those who have not called on His Name, who did not want anything to do with Him, they will appear at the White Throne Judgment mentioned in Revelation 20:11-15.  They will be cast into everlasting judgment in the Lake of Fire.  Oh, that people would come to their senses and escape the trap of the devil who is imprisoning them to do his will (II Timothy 2:26).  Jesus showed us that He is the only way to have relationship with God and be with Him forever— https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZD6khv6pGkw&t=309s

Dear Father I am grateful to know that You know and see everything and that You will, one day, make all things right and new.  Until then may I be faithful to what You desire of me to be and do by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vw5osFG4WZk
