GOD’S GREAT LOVE, MERCY AND GRACE!
GOD’S GREAT LOVE, MERCY AND GRACE!
But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved. —Ephesians 2:4-5
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. —Ephesians 2:10
God is “rich in mercy.” He does not condemn anyone who “calls on the Name of the Lord. Instead, He saves them from their sin. That is mercy. Instead of condemning us to Hell forever, He saves us to a relationship with Him through Jesus and makes us fit for Heaven! Why? “Because of the great love with which he loved us.” And “we love because he first loved us” (I John 4:19). How great is His love! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NUy3yaSd9b0 How marvelous is His mercy and grace! Let us rejoice! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jbe7OruLk8I
God saw us “when we were dead in our trespasses” and He still loved us. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16). Our world is full of wicked, sinful people, but He still loves us. He hates our sin and He did something that would enable us to get into a right relationship with Him… for all who desire to— https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYZw0dfLmLk —He will not force anyone, but invites.
Once a person calls on Jesus to be saved from their sin and to a relationship with Him, then they are “his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” God has worked planned out for us to do and we will not understand what that is until we call on the Lord to be saved. All those who have called on Jesus have work God has prepared them to do. So let us be faithful, brother and sister, fellow follower of Jesus, in what He has called us to be and do. Yes, Dear Father, may this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus. So be it!
