O LORD, God of our fathers, are you not God in heaven? You rule over all the kingdoms of the nations. In your hand are power and might, so that none is able to withstand you. —II Chronicles 20:6

We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you. —II Chronicles 20:12

Are there times when we just do not know what to do?  What do you do in those times?  The best thing to do is to keep our eyes on our Lord and wait on Him! —“fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith” (Hebrews 12:2) —“Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD” (Psalm 27:14).

“Our God is in heaven; he does whatever pleases him” (Psalm 115:3).  Praise God all you that know Him!  He is carrying out His plans and purposes in this world and we are part of those purposes.  May we be faithful in the part He has for us.

Don’t be dismayed or discouraged with the evil that happens in our world.  Our Lord God Almighty is Ruler “over all the kingdoms of the nations.”  Sin has so negatively affected this fallen world, but our Lord is still Reigns and He will bring all those who trust Him to the place of perfection in heaven.  That is the end result!  We who love Jesus will be with Him forever!

Does it look like evil is winning?  Well it is not but “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance” (II Peter 3:9).  Our Lord God Almighty is being very patient with this evil, rebellious world because there are those who are yet to call on His Name.  One day the last person will call on His Name and then things will start winding down on this planet.

Do not fret.  None are able to withstand Him.  He will accomplish what He desires in your life and on this planet.  No power on earth can hinder or halt His will.  We who have trusted Jesus are on the victory side.  Rejoice, persevere, be hopeful and one day we will be with Him forever!

Dear Father I am so grateful for this future forever with Jesus.  Oh, I so look forward to that time when everything will be made right.  Yes, I so long for that time.  But until then may I be faithful to live according to Your desires and do what You ask of me.  May this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  So be it!
