SPEAK THE TRUTH ABOUT JESUS!

They said, “Though John never performed a sign, all that John said about this man was true.” And in that place many believed in Jesus. —John 10:41-42

            Even if you or I never perform “a sign” let us be faithful witness of Jesus as John the Baptist was.  John never performed a sign; he was a sign to point others to Jesus.  That is exactly what you and I are supposed to be— signs point others to Jesus.  May our witness of Him be such that all that we say about Jesus it true and others come to believe what we say of Him is true.  Yes, may this be so!

            Many believed because of what John said and then they saw what John said come true as they observed Jesus.  Let us encourage people toward Jesus to see for themselves.  Encourage them by what You say about Jesus, but also encourage them to read for themselves to see Jesus for themselves.  Offer them a gospel of John, a New Testament or the whole Bible.  Let people discover for themselves as they encounter Jesus in His Word and many will believe in Jesus!

            You and I, brother and sister, are responsible to love God, love people, be Jesus’ witnesses and to make disciples that in turn will make disciples.  This will not happen unless we take the steps as “Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”  How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard?
